My Fitness Pal…

Have you ever heard anyone talk about “My Fitness Pal”?  Trick question… if you read an earlier post of mine (What A Day…), then you’ve heard me talk about it.

My Fitness Pal is an app for your phone as well as a site online.  It helps you keep track of the food you eat (including calories and nutrition), the exercises you do, and your weight loss goals.  The app for your phone even has a barcode scanner to make it easier to log your food and drinks.  There’s also a feature that allows you to add up ingredients in your own recipes with your serving sizes and it figures up the calories and nutrition facts.

I sometimes find myself looking through the list of exercises for something fun to do for the day to burn calories.  You simply choose the exercise you’re doing from the list and put in the amount of time you spent doing that exercise.  Then it figures up how many calories you’ve burned.  Sometimes for fun I might choose “Dancing, general” then turn on some fast music and dance around the living room like no one’s watching.  Very fun way to burn some calories.

You can build your list of friends through the app.  Everyone can share comments and encouragements throughout their journey.  They say when you’re trying to loss weight it’s works best to go through the process with friends.  Feel free to add me to that list even (ToriLyn14).

On the website there’s always good recipes and interesting conversations from other members.

Look it up! Try it out!

“Like” Me On Facebook…

It’s seems like just about everyone is on Facebook these days.  I know I am personally.  And recently I started up a Facebook page for my Plexus business.  I want to spread the word about these amazing products.  It’s great to connect with people, and Facebook is another fun way to do that.

My page is called Plexus Nashville. The address is facebook.com/PlexusInNashville.  Stop by my page for a chat.

I’m representing Nashville, Tennessee and the surrounding areas.  If you’re local and want to know more or want to have a Plexus Party, it will be easy to connect.  If you’re not local, then the social media outlets like Facebook are great ways to stay in touch.
